LETS MAKE A VISION BOARD!

“If you focus upon whatever you want, you will attract whatever you want. If you focus upon the lack of whatever you want, you will attract more of the lack.” “There is not a need to prove anything to anyone with your words. Let that which you are – that which you are living – be your clear example to uplift others.”

Good afternoon! I hope you started your year well. Its not too late to make a plan for the year and i am here to help you out.

It is important to have a goal, write it down and make a vision board. Vision boards are meant to inspire us everyday, that whatever we want/ wish to have can be achieved.

In order for your vision board to work you have to be convinced that it works because it does work. Whatever you focus on gets done. It doesn’t matter how far fetched or unrealistic it is because there is nothing God cant’ do and whatever your mind can conceive it can achieve!

So here is my guide to making a vision board.

Step 1: Review your goals of the past year. This is important as it enables you know you far you have come and what still needs to be done. Reviewing also helps one to be grateful. As you review, count your blessings.

Step 2: Make a list. Write down your goals.Write it all down. Everything you want or hope to achieve, put it down on paper. You may divide your goals into four segments, for example; Career goals, Family goals, Self and Religion/mantras. As you do this remember to identify your core vision, that thing that remains constant in your life; whether its Family, God or mantras. This core vision is what will anchor you to all other dreams.

Step 3: Have a board, carton box, manila paper, scissors, stickers, glue, magazines, markers, pen, tapes. These are essential in making the board. You can make a DIY by cutting out a carton box in the size of your choice, cover the box with a white manila paper or printing paper( you can use a color of your choice). Cut your pics from the magazines to stick on the board. Use your pen to write down on the board. Enjoy the process.

You can also use Microsoft publisher to make your bard. Choose a blank poster, and insert pictures and words that resonate with your goals. For instance if your goal is family , you can upload a pic of family on your publisher and edit it, then you can convert the final product to xps or jpg and print it.

Step 4: Place the vision board in a place where you will be seeing it daily. If you have the physical board you can place it on your bedroom wall so that you see it every morning and night. You may also put it as your home screen on your phone or computer.
